Visa-Free Policy | ETA Entry Documents | Important Notes<\/h2>\n

Saipan is a U.S. territory. In 2026, holders of a Hong Kong SAR Passport travelling to Saipan from Hong Kong are eligible for the visa-free entry policy, and BNO (British National (Overseas)) Passport holders are subject to the same visa-free rules for entering Saipan. However, there are important points to note for entry into Saipan, such as applying for the ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) online, completing the Customs Declaration Form online, and for those travelling with children, it is mandatory to bring the children\u2019s birth certificates or notarized statements. Please remember to read the following notes carefully before your departure!<\/p>\n

  1. Apply for, print, and carry your G-CNMI ETA at least 5 days before your trip

  2. Recommend completing the Customs Declaration Form and obtaining the QR code 5 days before your trip

    2. If your U.S. visa is in your old passport, you must carry both your old and new passports<\/li>\n

      Other Entry Notes<\/h3>\n

      1. Your passport must remain valid for at least 190 days after the end of your trip, and have no fewer than 3 blank pages.<\/li>\n
      2. Travelers who have been denied a U.S. visa before cannot use visa-free entry\u2014you must obtain a U.S. visa to enter Saipan.<\/li>\n
      3. Pregnant travelers are not eligible for visa-free entry to Saipan.<\/li>\n
      4. Traveling With Minors (Under 18)
        If traveling with both parents: Carry the minor\u2019s original birth certificate.
        \nIf traveling without both parents: Bring a Parental Authorization Letter (original, in both Chinese and English) (signed by both parents), plus copies of both parents\u2019 passports.
        \nIf traveling with only one parent: Obtain a notarized support certificate from the non-accompanying parent.
        \nIf the minor has only one legal guardian: Present the court judgment (confirming sole guardianship), the minor\u2019s birth certificate, and relevant documents (e.g., death certificate of the other parent, if applicable).<\/li>\n
      5. Special Travel History Note
        Travelers who have visited Iran, Iraq, Syria, Somalia, Sudan, Libya, Yemen, or North Korea must hold a valid U.S. visa to enter Saipan.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
